I am having a stall at a Makers Market in a few weeks time, so have been searching for inspiration on how best to show off my goodies. These are a few of my favourite ideas...
It's birthday time again in our house this weekend, as my baby girl turns 10! (Where did that decade go?!) But being birthday time means its time for cake....and time to get our cake stand out!
Here are some gorgeous ones I found online earlier...
I was at Camp Bestival this summer and came across a great organisation called mind apples who encourage us to take better care of our minds through simple daily activities.
We had to fill in apples with 5 things we like to do that keeps our minds happy, and then hang them on the tree. The tree looked fab.
So why not check out their website and record how you keep your mind happy...
I have always loved tiles, so many gorgeous patterns to choose from (but unfortunately the ones I seem to like are all on the expensive side) Anyway I came across this idea, which I will have to give a go - using patterned paper....
I was thinking the other day how I could hang my necklaces better - they are currently hanging over nails in the bathroom - not great! And then I came across these - a fab use for door handles and a great way for hanging up all sorts of things. I must get round to doing this!
Another way to entertain the kids this summer when the weather isnt so great, is to create your own spoon family, not only do you have fun creating each 'person' but the kids also get to play with them afterwards....here are some to get you inspired!
Both my daughters have journals - they are a great keepsake for pictures, certificates, tickets etc, as well as an opportunity to write and draw. But I found this week some other interesting ways of keeping memories, that I thought I would share.
A fab way of recording thoughts and feelings.
In this memory jar, each person jots down on a piece of paper their thoughts, feelings and special moments as they happen, and these are collected over a year. At the end of the year, the jar is opened and everyone gets to hear and remember all those special occassions.
The school summer holidays are here, and its always difficult coming up with new ways to entertain the kids, especially when the weather isnt so great. These are a few ideas of painting, but with a twist....
With our kids breaking up from school today for the summer, I thought this weeks Folksy friday should have a holiday theme, so these are my top holiday accessories....
